Star Wars_1:72 Y-Wing Fighter_ala FineMolds

Finally--after so many years of shoddy attempts at a Y-Wing Fighter, Fine Molds came through with an accurate (but modestly-sized) Y-Wing. Delicate parts and the fact that the cockpit canopy doesn't open are the only things I would complain about.  The decals are challenging, but not impossible with the exception of the rebel insignia on the pilot's helmet and the trim on the R2 unit.

Don't let me mention the price. I got mine at a bargain, but some of these things are going for very high prices. Fine Molds is no longer in the Star Wars model-making mode, but Revell picked up their business and will likely reissue this ship.

Lots and lots of parts--but this attention to detail puts this version light years ahead of MPC and Revell with their indifferent sculpting and omitted features.
