Star Wars_1:72 Y-Wing Fighter_ala Revell

The dark gray plastic base is courtesy of Fine Molds, the producer of the superior Y-Wing kit--Revell provides neither a base nor landing gear for your pre-painted vessel, shorting you considerably. 

I was so unimpressed by the pre-painted, snap together (inaccurate) Y-Wing that I jumped in right away and sprayed the white plastic and all the other touches of color with deep dark gray paint to ensure good shadowing when the light grays went on later.  The only part more or less left alone was the astromech droid.
