Description

Hearing that actor George Lindsey had died, I came up with a small tribute piece for his contributions to the Disney features.
Robin Hood (1973) had him playing one half of a pair of small vultures who are flunkies to the Sheriff of Nottingham. George was a good-ol' boy from the U.S. South, but that didn't get in the way of him being playing a character in the days of England's Richard the Lionheart.

Trigger's design seems to have been lifted from the vultures of "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" and "The Jungle Book". I don't mind so much. Robin Hood needed more birds and reptiles.

Trigger (presumably for his crossbow) is the more alert of the two, but not enough to make any of the good guys lose any sleep.

His weapon "Old Betsy", discharges at the slightest touch, despite the safety being on.

George Lindsey had played a thick-set basset hound in "Aristocats" and would later play a rabbit in "The Rescuers". I prefer him as a bird. RIP George.
